PFA Racing was founded in Basildon, Essex by Steven Butcher, who sadly passed away in 2005.

He created the name at Brands Hatch in a moment of quick thinking.  Steven lined up in a queue to receive a free subscription to 'Motorsport News' magazine.  When he got to the front he didn't realise it was only meant to be free of charge for competing Racing Teams, so when asked for his team's name, without hesitation he made up the name 'PFA Racing' on the spot. PFA actually stands for 'Pay F*** All'!

Steven's love of motorsport will always continue through brothers Mark & Paul, who always fly the PFA Racing banner with pride, and will continue through the generations with Mark & Paul's sons, Alex, Harrison and Tom.

 

The team is for pure motorsport enthusiasts and anyone is welcome.

​

We like to think of PFA Racing as 'motorsport brilliance on a budget'.  We have never had the same level of finance compared to most other teams but we carry on smiling, give it 110% and earn great respect in the pits.

​

PFA Racing has been involved in karting, bike & car track days and has even won a rally championship in 2003.
